Linthicum-Shipley Improvement Association

The Linthicum-Shipley Improvement Association is a voluntary-membership, non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the quality of life in Linthicum, Md. The LSIA has been watching over Linthicum since 1975. The organization was formed with the merging of the Linthicum Civic Association, which dated back into the 1950s, and the Shipley Improvement Association, which was formed in the early 1970s.

GFWC Concerts in the Park

Baltimore-based JUNKYARD SAINTS have performed with such notables as BUCKWHEAT ZYDECO, THE IGUANAS, MARCIA BALL and CHUCK BROWN, and have appeared at the Twist & Shout Club, The Fort Lauderdale Crawfish Festival, First Night Annapolis and on 103.1 WRNR Annapolis and National Public Radio. The Saints are recipients of Washington Area Music Association's 2006 WAMMIE Awards for Artist of the Year 2006 and Best Roots Rock Group consistently 2006-2010; bandleader Brian Simms was voted Musician of the Year 2009, and nominated for a 2009 Grammy.
